After School Program

Greetings Ditmas Families,

The Counseling in Schools (CIS) team is excited to join the Ditmas community this year! We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging space for students through both counseling services provided by our Creative Arts Therapist interns and after-school enrichment led by our talented team. Our activity specialists will be leading a variety of activities, including Robotics, Sports, Fashion, Sneaker design, Art, Teen Talk, Exploring Futures, Dance, Music Production, and more.

Through academic support, engaging activities, mental health resources, and opportunities for self-expression, CIS helps students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. We look forward to building strong, lasting connections with students, families, and staff, and to making after-school a place where every student feels welcome, supported, and empowered.

Our Program Director, Derrica Kearney, will be on site Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Feel free to stop by, say hello, grab a snack, and learn more about our programs. You can contact her via  email at Derrica@counselinginschools.org
