Fall 2026 High School Admissions Timeline

These are the key dates for students who are applying to high school for Fall 2026:

• Tuesday, October 7, 2025: High School Application, LaGuardia Application, and Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) Registration Opens

• Friday, October 31, 2025: SHSAT Registration Closes

• Wednesday, December 3, 2025: High School and LaGuardia Applications Close

• Thursday, March 5, 2026: High School Offer Release

These dates are subject to change. Any changes will be announced and communicated directly to families.

High School Admissions

Liberty High School Academy for Newcomers (9-12)

We are excited to share that our first open house is scheduled for September 30, 2025, from 4:30 to 7:30. The Open House is an in-person event. Students and their families will be able to tour the school, meet current students and teachers, and learn more about our academic programs. 

Here is some of what we offer:

• AP4ALL 

• College Office

• Learn to Work with Catholic Charities 

• Sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer) New this year is Co-ed Table Tennis

• Running Club 

• SAT Prep

• National Honor Society 

If you know students that are newcomers or heritage speakers that still require English as a New Language, please encourage them to attend our September 30th OPEN HOUSE EVENT.
