Welcome Parents and Guardians! 

We are happy you have chosen Ditmas I.S. 62 as a pathway to success! It is our mission to help each child feel welcomed and connected as part of our Ditmas family. Our teachers & staff are excited to receive our students in our classrooms & hallways. Here are a few things to note as you prepare to join us on the first day of school, Thursday, September 7: 

• Save the 2024 Bell Schedule 

• Students will receive a Supplies List from each teacher. On the first day of school, please bring a notebook, a folder, and pens/pencils for writing.

• Grade 6 students enter and exit the school building through the Security Entrance on East 7 Street (Exit #1). New students assemble in the Auditorium to meet their teachers. 

• Grade 7 students enter and exit the school building behind the school, in the Playground.

• Grade 8 students enter and exit the school building on the East 8 Street Entrance.  

Breakfast & lunch are free for all NYC public school students. Students enter the Cafeteria on Cortelyou Road from 7:40 to 8:05 am to start the day with a healthy breakfast. We ask all parents to complete a FAMILY INCOME FORM @https://www.myschoolapps.com to continue access to programs like FREE Breakfast, FREE Lunch, and others.

Parents are required to update the Emergency Contact Information and Forms found in NYCSA (NewYork City Student Account). NYSCA allows parents access to report cards, class schedules, grades, test scores, sign forms, and more. Please contact Ms. Aybar if you require assistance.

We are excited to use the Snap! Connect, the secure platform for multilingual communication to build our school community! We care about your children, your families, and our school. This solution will help us all be engaged members of our community. Parents will receive emails and text messages with instructions to create the account after September 5.
