Our trend data shows a four to seven percent increase in enrollment from 2016-2019. As our student enrollment increased, our low socioeconomic population increased to 84% as well as a transformation in our ethnic diversity. Currently, our student population consists of 41% Caucasian, 40% Hispanic, 18% African American, and 1% Asian. We have 241 active English Language Learners ranging among six levels of English proficiency, which is 29% of our student population. Moreover, our special education population is 15% of our student population. Therefore, our academic growth is measured by a variety of assessments. Our active ELL students are assessed by the ACCESS test once a year. For our students identified as tier three receive instructional support from our part-time instructors, and students who need additional support outside the classroom attend tutoring twice per week.
