Each person will have 10-15 minutes (decide on time based on number of participants) to explore their leadership via their Leadership Canvas.
Members of the group have different roles throughout the activity:
Your role is to share and explore openly and then get feedback in order to generate new insights. Important for you to keep in mind: allow the focus to be on you, and let your reflections flow naturally, being guided by the active listener.
Your role is to help the subject clarify his/her focus as he/she explored. Keep in mind: ask open questions to support the subject’s reflection; not to offer advice. Listen with full presence and focus, and be curious. Observe, paraphrase what you hear and guide the subject with open questions. You may need two active listeners, depending on the size of your group.
Your role is to observe the process without speaking. To make observations from an outside perspective, to see and hear things that the listener and subject may note. Your role is also to keep time, it's a good idea to give a warning to the other roles when there is a couple of minutes left. Keep in mind: stay silent throughout the process; observe and make notes about what you see and hear; after the subject finishes, share the observations with the others. Focus your observations on the subject and his/her reflections, but feel free to allow some observations around the active listener too. Perhaps some questions unlocked an insight, maybe you heard a piece of advice? Let the observer know! You may need two observers, depending on the size of your pod.
