Before starting to make a film with your class it is important first to consider what needs to be included in a good film. Here are some examples of different films created by learners of different ages. Choose to watch the most suitable films for your class and then you can ask them to discuss/record in the form of a mind map as groups (you can use the Popplet app or Jamboard for learners to record digitally if you want) why they think the films are effective.

Diamond 9 activity - In groups learners can discuss what is needed in an effective film and place the cards in the diamond diagram 9. The most important features will go at the top of the diamond with the least important features going at the bottom of the diamond. There are 12 cards to sort and so some of the features will not be included in the diamond.
