There are many different aliens in this story. Big ones, small ones, thin ones, wide ones. Design your own alien. How many eyes will it have? What will be it's name? What colour will your alien be? Draw a picture of him / her in your books and describe your alien by using the language pattern 'Mae fy estron i yn...' (My alien is...). Remember to design some special underpants for him / her.

Write a short conversation between two characters from the story. Remember some important things when writing a conversation. Please see below for the main points.

• Speech marks (" "). These must be used before somebody talks and after they finish.

• Capital letters at the start of every sentence.

• Full stops at the end of every sentence.

• Try to vary the way the characters speak. i.e. whispered / shouted / said / cried etc.

Below is the start of a conversation, use this as an example, or write it in your books and continue with the conversation.

“Dyma bants neis!” meddai’r estron. / "Here are some nice pants" said the alien.

“Mae angen i ni lapio’r anrhegion i gyd, brysia!” meddai’r corrach. / "We need to wrap the presents, hurry!" said the elf.

“Ond dwi eisiau newid pob anrheg i fod yn bâr o bants lliwgar!” meddai’r estron. / "But I want to change every present for a pair of colourful pants!" said the alien.

“Na! Teganau a thedis mae plant bach Cymru eisiau!” cwynodd y corrach. / "No! Toys and teddies are what the children of Wales want!" the elf complained.

How about finding two toys that you have at home and creating a short puppet show on Seesaw with them discussing Christmas. Record the conversation on Seesaw.

We have been practising our scissor cutting skills in school. How about practising a little more at home? You can use the picture below to cut out the shapes and glue them in the correct spaces, or how about finding magazines that aren't used anymore at home and cut images out to create a collage of your own? Tasg 1: Yr wyddor / Task 1: The alphabet

Ydych chi'n gallu ysgrifennu'r wyddor yn y drefn gywir mewn llythrennau bach, beth mae'r prif lythrennau yn edrych am y llythrennau yma? / Can you write the Welsh alphabet in the correct order in lower case letters, what do the capital letters look for these letters?

Rhowch eich capiau meddwl ymlaen, ydych chi'n gallu chwarae'r gêm A - Y? Meddyliwch am fwydydd ac anifeiliaid sy'n dechrau gyda'r llythrennau’r wyddor. / Put your thinking caps on, can you play the A - Y game? Think of foods and animals that start with the letters in the Welsh alphabet.

Mae'r llythrennau 'i, u ac y' yn debyg iawn ac yn gallu creu'r un synnau mewn geiriau gwahanol. Ydych chi'n gallu llenwi'r bylchau yn y taflenni isod gyda'r llythrennau cywir? /

The letters ' i, u and y' are very similar and can create the same sounds within different words. Can you fill the gaps within the next few worksheets with the correct letters?

Tasg 3: Berfau 'ais' ac 'odd'. / Task 2: 'ais' and 'odd' verbs.

Pan rydyn ni'n sôn am ein hunain, rydyn ni'n gorffen ein berfau gyda'r llythrennau 'ais' e.e. Cerddais i i lawr y stryd. Pan rydyn ni'n sôn am rywun arall, rydyn ni'n gorffen ein berfau gyda'r llythrennau 'odd' e.e. Cerddodd Ben i lawr y stryd. Ydych chi'n gallu llenwi'r bylchau yn y tabl isod yn gywir? When we are talking about ourselves, we finish our verbs with 'ais' i.e. Cerddais i i lawr y stryd (I walked down the road). When we are talking about someone else, we finish our verbs with the letters 'odd' i.e. Cerddodd Ben i lawr y stryd (Ben walked down the street). Can you fill the blanks in the table below? After completing it, how about trying to write some sentences starting with these verbs?

How about revising our knowledge on 2D shapes? After looking at the powerpoint, try to create a picture using only 2D shapes. Look at the ideas below as examples.

The children asked many questions about space to go with our topic 'Ti, Fi ar Byd' (Me, You and the World). Why not look at pictures of space, the planets and the moon, and try to recreate the picture in your own way. You could use paint, chalk, crayons or make a collage, the choice is yours.
