A simple resource that encourages learners to Google the topic/subject of their learning and record ideas about the value of their learning.

Dysgu Digidol

A selection of digital activities and resources which can be used to allow learners to develop a good understanding of the 'why' of their learning. The above resource can also be shared with learners electronically, to be completed independently or collaboratively.

Jamboard

Learners can use the 'G- Good Understanding' Jamboard to share their understanding of the learning. Ask your learners to place a sticky note on the Jamboard, sharing and recording their ideas about the value of their learning. A new Jamboard can be created for this task, or practitioners can add another slide onto an existing board as shown in the 'Dysgu Digidol Jamboard Example.'

Britannica Digital Learning

Britannica Digital Learning is a safe online encyclopaedia with age-appropriate resources for learners., that can be accessed through Hwb. Your learners can use Britannica Digital Learning to research a specific topic - discovering the β€˜why’ of their learning. There are a variety of tools within Britannica which include: translation, read-aloud, double- click dictionary and adaptable reading levels.

Swiggle

Swiggle is a child friendly search engine for learners. Swiggle is designed to provide a safer environment for learners, taking their first steps on the road to safe online searching. Learners can complete the above activity β€˜Google it’ using Swiggle to discover the value of their learning. Learners can use the 'swiggle it' activity template or create their own way of recording information, using online tools such as Google docs, JIT5, J2e5 or Jamboard.

Padlet - 'Live Question Time'

Padlet is an online collaborative notice board that can be used by learners and practitioners to post notes, links, videos, images and document files. Learners can use Padlet to understand the purpose and value of their learning. As practitioners, you can create a β€˜live question time’ board where learners can post questions during their learning experience. Practitioners or learners can respond to live questions to support, strengthen and consolidate the learning that is taking place.
