Module 4 has been very busy and there has been an increased focus on preparations for May's SATs. The children have really worked hard to ensure they have made personal progress and shown a determined and positive attitude towards their learning. This is reflected in the children's most recent scaled scores - the progress is really evident. There are now only five weeks - three school weeks - to prepare for the SATs and additional revision activities will be posted onto the Google Classroom for the children to engage with at home. Parent and carers support with home learning and additional revision is really important and we really appreciate all of the hard work by the pupils and the parents/carers.
Pupils have really worked hard to develop their writing skills this term and our focus will intensify after the SATs to ensure they have evidence of meeting all of the KS2 writing expectations. The children particularly enjoyed learning about the mysterious images created by Harris Burdick and used them as inspiration to create their own narratives. The stories enabled the children to use their imaginations and use their writing skills to describe the setting and characters in their story. Harris Burdick was also the inspiration in Art this term; pupils created their own mysterious images using charcoal to create mood and tone.
We are really proud of all the effort the children have shown so far this year.
Enjoy the Easter break!
