Year 1 - Berners-Lee Class

Berners-Lee has had a fantastic term with our inquiry into living things. As Scientists, we have learnt how to grow and care for a variety of plants as well as taste testing a multitude of fruits and vegetables. We were all able to successfully draw, label and even put a plant back together again! We worked hard to create informative instructions so that others could learn how to grow plants too. Our inquiry also led us to learn about Charles Darwin and his achievements - we were amazed by his theory of 'Natural Selection'.

In Maths, the highlight of the term was learning how to measure using a ruler - we had great fun measuring items around the classroom. In Computing and Art, we have enjoyed sketching fruits and vegetables as well as experimenting with different digital tools to create sunflower art in Pointillism style.
