In Year 2 this module we have been looking at processes and lifecycles. We started the term looking at a range of animals including humans and how they develop and grow. To help this learning develop further, we wrote an explanation text all about the human life cycle from the foetus all the way until we are elderly. In our English and Reading lessons we have been focusing on the text Jim and the Beanstalk. We read the story, made predictions and immersed ourselves into our own stories which turned out great. Some of us climbed a beanstalk and ended up at a theme park or a candy land!
In Maths this module we have been learning about measurement and fractions. We have taken part in lots of practical learning linked to these topics which have been helping us develop our skills ready for our Year 2 SATs assessments that will take place in Module 5. In our foundation lessons we have been giving instructions to Beebots and developing our art skills such as sketching and cross hatching. We have also designed and made Easter bags in our DT lessons, linking to RE.
As well as our amazing learning, we took part in some practice Year 2 SATs papers in Maths, Reading and English. We did amazing in these assessments and we showed what great confidence we have developed, ready for the real ones next module.
Have a lovely Easter.
