Year 5 has had a cosmic term. They have enjoyed our Inquiry on Space. We have learnt all about the moon landing and many of the pupils wrote a biography on Neil Armstrong. In Maths, we have been looking at area and perimeter. The pupils seemed to enjoy measuring their closed fist and comparing this to the size of their open hand.
In P.E, the pupils worked hard on creating symmetrical and non- symmetrical sequences in both pairs and small groups.
Computing saw us looking at vector drawings and we have been designing and creating our own vector drawings based on our space inquiry - this worked well and we have created some great designs.
Finally, in Geography we carried out a fieldwork investigation looking at how we could improve the sustainability of our school. We looked at the possibility of growing our own produce and introducing a wind turbine, we also looked at the limitations of our ideas.
Term 4 has been extremely busy and always we would like to thank you for your support throughout.
