Message from Mr Etheridge - Primary Principal
End of Term 4
I hope that you have all had a good start to the school holidays. As we head into the Summer term and the weather starts to improve, please note that pupils can now start to wear the academy summer uniform (see the Parent and Pupil Handbook here for more information) should they wish to.
Next term, we have the Key Stage 1 and 2 SATs, Phonics Screening and Year 4 multiplication check, which I know you will be keen to support your children in. Teachers will have shared material on Google Classroom to help you support your children at home. We also have Cricket lessons for the pupils in Year 4 and Year 5 provided by local Cricket Coaches as well as Yoga sessions for the Year 6 pupils to help them in their preparation for SATs.
We have also recently started to send home cards to celebrate the great things that happen daily at the academy (an image of this can be seen below). This is to help reward the excellent things that happen every day and meaning that we do not always have to wait until the end of the week to reward someone with a Star of the Week certificate (although this will still continue).
Finally, I would like to thank you all for your continued support in helping to make our school and its community the incredible place it is for our pupils, staff and families.
