Working with administrative team to create clear consequences for lost & damaged devices and streamline systems for checking loaners out to students
Having organization and being consistent with inventory and data usage has made our campus more knowledgeable and helped us improve our systems
Teachers monitor who has lost a device each day during 6th period and help document that so students can get a replacement as quickly as possible.
Digital Citizenship
Students participate in monthly Digital Citizenship lessons in Learning.com through their PE courses.
Students are reminded in every class the norms and expectations around device usage. Issues are addressed with administrators and parents.
Campus-Wide Systems
Established charging stations in the morning before class starts
UDT now issues day user devices during 1st period
Admin developed new discipline procedures, sent out a parent letter, and held grade-level assemblies to review policies with students
Remind students and families that chargers stay at home and make call outs regularly to limit loss.
Tech Team students help their peers charge devices in the morning before school starts.
Our office tech team also supports the UDT with help tickets and repairs when possible.
Teachers developed lessons that have students use devices at home to record themselves teaching a family member how to solve a math problem, or interviewing family members for a virtual reality autobiography project.
