MD 8th Grade Theatre Games

8th Grade Theatre Games studied the stock characters featured in Commedia D'ell Arte performances from the Italian Renaissance. We looked at these character archtypes for inspiration and noticed that larger-than-life characters are still funny to this day. We then created our own characters based off of a chosen Commedia stock character. After a few character explorations, we wrote monologues and imagined all these characters speaking at an open mic night. This video is a compilation of our final performances
