Public Speaking 7 & 8

Students are working on two forms of Public Speaking as defined by the National Speech and Debate Association. 

Original Oratory requires students to write and present their own speeches based on social issues. 

Dramatic/Comedic Interpretation is an exercise in editing and performance. This event is closer to Acting and requires the presenter to create and perform in character. 

Both require the student to use language, story, and rhetoric to communicate ideas and feelings to their audience.  -Mr. Posner
