This is an introductory course stressing both laboratory skills and conceptual understanding. Major topics covered include inorganic nomenclature, chemical reactions, the periodic table and atomic theory, chemical bonding, the mole concept, solution chemistry, stoichiometry, and organic chemistry. This course is highly recommended for students pursuing a career in Health Sciences, Science, and Applied Science. This course appeals to students who demonstrate an avid interest in sciences and chemistry. Students should be able to collaborate with others and actively participate in class discussions and lab experiments.

This is a more advanced course that extends knowledge and skills learned in Chemistry 11. Chemistry 12 intends to prepare students for university entrance. Major topics covered include reaction kinetics, dynamic equilibrium, solubility equilibrium, acid and base chemistry, and electrochemistry.
