Interested in studying about life? Life Science 11 is the course to take! This introductory biology course allows students to engage in learning and investigating biological processes that give rise to the diversity of life. The course focuses on the following major themes: biodiversity, ecological relationships, and evolution, with some emphasis on organismal life. During the development of these themes, students engage in activities, games, documentary screenings, inquiry, discussion, case studies, projects, labs, and dissections that involve scientific reasoning and analytical skills. It also serves as a foundation for progressing onto Anatomy & Physiology 12 and further post-secondary studies in the life sciences.
