SCHOOL-WIDE GOALS AND COMPETENCIES
The following competencies are woven into all courses and programs at Holton-Arms School.
LW3 GOAL 1 - PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH
We evaluate and care for our physical, mental, and emotional health.
LW3-1a. I make healthy decisions to protect and enhance my physical wellbeing.
LW3-1b. I recognize the benefits of physical activity and can demonstrate the knowledge and skills to maintain a lifetime of health-enhancing fitness
LW3-1c. I analyze the factors that impact my development and demonstrate self-care.
LW3-1d. I understand mental health concepts and can demonstrate positive ways to manage and express my emotions.
LW3-1e. I can classify personal stressors and develop strategies to manage them.
LW3-1f. I can discuss gender and sexuality as an integral part of my identity and make safe and ethical decisions pertaining to my sexual health.
LW3-1g. I analyze factors that impact the health of our local, national, and global community.
LW3 GOAL 2 - SELF-KNOWLEDGE AND IDENTITY
We know the dimensions of our own identity and how it intersects with the identity of others.
LW3-2a. I am developing a positive identity based on my membership in multiple groups.
LW3-2b. I cultivate a growth mindset and a sense of confidence.
LW3-2c. I develop my strengths while celebrating and supporting the strengths of others.
