Many children all over the world are not able to have access to the education they need due to lack of money, time, or war torn areas. There are over 263 million schools that are out of schools worldwide with a large chunk of that coming from Sub Saharan Africa. Our plan is to raise awareness and money for school supplies for kids in Africa through fundraisers.
Mackenzie is great at staying on task and getting things done. She is very artistic also which will help with our product that we will sell to raise money. She is excited to work with Taylor and Ashwin on this project because we have been friends for years.
Ashwin communicates ideas very effectively and has great presentation skills. He will do well in assisting with spreading our idea in a clear and efficient way.
Taylor comes up with good ideas for projects and has good skills with community outreach. This will help our project because we will be able to have good relationships with the people we might need to work with in the community.

Our fundraiser is a t-shirt fundraiser making shirts with our designs bringing awareness to the need for education in less fortunate areas. With the funds we receive from selling the t-shirts we will donate to an NGO that will provide supplies to students in Africa. We will be selling our shirts through a website to keep everything digital and will be posting our website on Facebook groups. We would also be educating the community through social media posts and sharing information to the community about the cause.
We have partnered with Unicef USA which takes donated funds to help buy backpacks, art supplies, sports equipment, notebooks and pencils, or any supplies needed for someone's education. We plan on taking the money we raise from selling our shirts and donate it to Unicef.
We have as well partnered with the high school's art department to barrow their printing screens and squeegees so we would not have to buy them ourselves.
