Students have the responsibility to respond promptly to all forms of communication regarding conduct matters. The Dean of Students Office and Office of Community Standards communicate with students primarily through their Hofstra Pride email. Additionally, the offices reserve the right to use any other reasonable means to notify students regarding conduct issues, including but not limited to phone calls/messages, return receipt letters, and certified/return receipt letters via U.S. mail. Failure to respond promptly to these types of communication may result in fines, immediate conduct sanctioning, deactivation of HofstraCard services, residence hall lock change, and/or temporary removal from class.
