Year 3

Miss Dawson and Mrs Corbett

WELCOME TO OUR FINAL WEEK OF THE TERM AND THE SCHOOL YEAR!

Week 12 - Week beginning 13.07.20

Hello Year 3!

We hope you and your families are all safe and well. What a lot there is to celebrate at the end of this school year!

If you experience any problems at all with the website or whilst learning, please email homelearninghelp@heronhill.cumbria.sch.uk

How does it all work?

On the drop down menu under Year 3, you will find weekly activities under subject headings for you to access and complete at home. There will be new learning activities for you each week - these will be published onto the website at 10am every Monday morning. Children should complete no more than 2 hours of learning each day. Note to adults: These activities should be completed by the children as independently as possible but this is also a wonderful opportunity for families to support their children in their learning. Children do not need to submit their answers each day. There is a link on this page for children to upload the exciting things they have been doing at home if you would like to share- we can't wait to see them! Make sure you are logged into a Google account for this to work.

Please have a look at the NEW Heron Hill Transitions Website to learn more about your new class and new teachers.

Week 12 of Home-Learning!

Dear Year Three, we cannot believe this is our final week of OFFICIAL Home-Learning.

Wow, what can we say; you have done us so proud and you should be so proud of yourselves too. Thank you to you and your families for all of your hard-work, determination, kind words and smiling faces. We have loved teaching you this year, Year Three and we will miss you very much! But you are only down the corridor and we will see you again very soon.

Enjoy your Summer - you have earned a break (your families have too!) Have a look at our Summer Mindfulness page for some calming activities to engage with over the holiday. Thank you for sending in your wonderful photographs, videos and excellent learning. It has kept us going during this difficult time and made us still feel as though we are doing what we love - teaching! We hope you have enjoyed an unusual learning experience, be it very different from what we had planned.

Because we can't gift you with our usual choice of leaving gifts this year, we have instead decided to sponsor some wonderful animals in your name! 3C you have sponsored the Lemurs and 3D you have sponsored the Meerkats! The animals were thrilled when we told them they had such lovely children to look after them! You will find your certificates on this page. Feel free to visit your animals too. We hope you enjoy this special gift to you.

Thank you for being such an incredible year group to teach Year Three - we have been very lucky teachers to have had the pleasure!

Lots of love from Mrs Corbett, Miss Dawson and Mrs Quilliam.
