- Each grade level will have lunch in the cafeteria while we have the remote or
in-person choice. Teachers will have duty free lunch.
- (One class per grade level per day will be allowed to eat in the cafeteria. Monitors who
normally are in the cafeteria will stand in the hallways to support teachers who need a
break, warm lunches, etc.)
- All elementary level cashiers will have notebooks with rosters of all students by
homerooms that will be scanned. Students will need to say their first and last name to the
cashier and the cashier will repeat the name.
- Lunch window is 10:00-2:00
Due to nutritional requirements, they cannot do a sack lunch daily. Students will
go through the line. (Trays will be disposable so classes can eat in various
locations based on the number of students in the building. **Cafeteria staff will
not serve soup to help with this transitional need.)
- Students should wash their hands or use hand sanitizer (personal or school dispenser)
after eating.
- LUNCH: Teams will go through the lunch line together using social distancing.
- Students will have their lunch number scanned - not entered by hand.
- Sanitizing will take place between classes.
- A staggered lunch schedule will be created to allow for ample space between
students entering the cafeteria. We can accommodate one class per grade level.
The other classes would have the following options:
- Outdoor dining
- Lunch in the classroom
- e.g. - some classes eat in the classroom and one class spreads out in the
cafeteria.
- Students are not permitted to share food.
- Cafeteria Plan with SOCIAL DISTANCING- no more than 35 students
- The standard cafeteria table would require 2 empty seats between students. All
students in the cafeteria should sit facing the same direction. One seat will be an
outlier to allow five students per table.
- Students would “flow” into seats by taking the next available designated seat
rather than be assigned a table. Students would file in and then exit flowing in the
same direction.
