Parents often have questions about how to help their students with iPads and Chromebooks. This link will provide parents access to helpful information.
In accordance with HCS Board Policy Regulation, in grades 3-5, the use of digital devices will not exceed 15% of a student’s instructional time per week across all core subjects and within each connection class. NOTE - Please see exceptions noted in board policy.
As a parent, you may request request to be granted access to GoGuardian Parent, a mobile app to help keep parents/guardians aware of your child's activity on school-issued Chromebooks and provide you with additional controls during out-of-school hours. GoGuardian Parent is a companion to the classroom management and internet filtering tools that your child's school uses for Chromebooks issued to students. Through the use of this app, we hope to encourage more open and honest conversations between parents and children that will result in safer practices and responsible browsing habits.
As a guardian, you can get email summaries about your student’s activity in Google Classroom. Email summaries do not include grades. See instructions attached here in and to sign up, click on our Google Classroom invitation to join our classroom.
Quizlet is a web tool and a mobile app that boosts students learning through a number of study tools that include flashcards and game-based quizzes. Class sets of key content terms are created and shared with students. Students may access our classroom content sets below.

ClassDojo is a school communication platform that teachers, students, and families use every day to build close-knit communities by sharing what’s being learned in the classroom home through photos, videos, and messages. Parents may sign up for Class Dojo messages using the link herein.
