Looking to help? We are always happy to receive support from our awesome cadet parents, guardians, and community!
How can you help? Here are some examples based on the month:
Throughout the year: Help by getting your cadet to the various fund raisers, competitions, and community service events!
Please help us receive the JROTC course fee at the beginning of the year. The money helps us subsidize field trip expenses, pays for our PT t-shirts, pays for our competition fees, and covers other expenses not paid for by the Marine Corps.
Please help us receive the Cadet Contracts as well as the VHSA Physical Forms as soon as possible so your cadet can participate!
Drivers! Occassionally we need parent/guardian drivers to help transport our cadets to competitions out of state. Gas, tolls, and hotel expenses are covered by the MCJROTC program.
August: Need 5-7 volunteers to assist us with providing coffee, paper and plastic products, salads, and beverages for our annual New Cadet and Parent/Guardian Orientation Day.
Fall carwash fundraiser and Pork BBQ sale late September from 10am - 2pm.
October: September: Need 2-3 chaperones for our annual trip to Hotel Battery, 3/14 Richmond U.S. Marine Reserve unit.
November: Need 4-5 volunteers to help us set-up and provide breakfast dishes for our annual Veterans Day reception held before our ceremony.
February: Need 4-5 chaperones for our annual February field trip. This field trip goes to a different location each year. Past locations include Naval Station, Norfolk, VA and the Virginia Military Institute.
April: Need 3-5 volunteers to assist with execution of the "Platoon of the Year" field meet competition. We also appreciate any donated car wash supplies (old towels, soap, buckets, sponges, etc.) for our Spring car wash fund raiser (held in April or May).
May: Need 4-5 chaperones for our annual May field trip to Quantico, VA and Washington D.C.
June: Every other year (2022) we need one female chaperone to travel with us on our orientation visit to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC.
