Drill Team 

All grades are welcome. The team consists of 2 divisions, each with approximately 20 cadets. Each division will have a regulation team, an exhibition team, an inspection team, and a color guard team. 

We prepare each year to go to the regional competition in January to try and qualify for the national competition in April. 

Competition History

2023-2024

For the first time in the program's history, armed division qualified for the national competition by placing 2nd overall at Regionals in Tifton, GA. They also placed in color guard (unarmed - 1st), inspection (armed - 2nd), regulation (armed - 2nd), and exhibition (unarmed - 2nd).


They took first place in color guard, armed regulation, and first-year squad at the local Hermitage HS drill competition. Additionally, they placed third in both unarmed regulation and inspection. 

2022-2023 

At Regionals in North Forsyth High School in Cumming, GA, the Unarmed division took 3rd place overall, 2nd place in color guard, and  1st in inspection.  

At Hermitage High School, we placed 3rd overall, 1st place in color guard, 3rd place in unarmed regulation, 3rd place in inspections, and 3rd place in unarmed regulation. SSgt Anderson received a trophy for being one of the last ten cadets in the knockout competition. 

2021-2022 

At Regionals at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC, we placed 3rd overall, 2nd in inspections, and 3rd in color guard. Four cadets placed in the knockout competition.
