Please consider donating to help us have a successful school year for the cadets.
The JROTC program's goal each year is to provide engaging instruction and life skills to assist the cadets in succeeding after high school. Providing content that keeps the cadets' attention and allows them to do things outside of the classroom requires money the program doesn't have, which is why we need financial assistance.
Here are some of the activities we provide where we need donations:
Leadership, Drill, Cyber, and Outdoor Odyssey camps in several states like SC, VA, PA, and TX.
Host a leadership camp for all the Marine Corps JROTC programs in Henrico.
4-6 field trips to places like the Oceana Air Show, multiple Marine Corps Reserve stations surrounding Richmond area, Naval Station Norfolk and Washington, D. C. Some of these trips require charter buses that the Marine Corps does not provide.
Henrico County JROTC ball.
Our color guard presents the American and Marine Corps flags for the community.
Our drill, marksmanship, and academic teams must compete outside Virginia in places like GA, SC, and Washington D. C. These trips require a charter bus and hotel for all attending cadets.
Provide 1500 hours of community service for Henrico.
Our goal is not to charge the cadets for the activities and/or meals when doing things outside the classroom. This is only feasible through donations. The donations pay for field trips, team competitions, meals, buses, hotels, school and special events supplies, exercise equipment, and scholarships.
Please donate what you can!
If you prefer to write a check please make it payable to "J. R. Tucker High School" United States Marine Corps JROTC.
