Student have the opportunity to receive:
◾ OSHA 10 hour card
◾Workplace Readiness Certification
◾ EPA608 Refrigerant Certification
This class is a 2 year accredited HVAC Excellence program that prepares students for a career in the HVAC Service and Installation industry. Students learn workplace safety earning their OSHA 10 card and the Workplace Readiness certification. The focus of the program is to teach a variety of skills and techniques for a job with a residential or commercial HVAC company. Working alongside other building trades students they learn how a true construction site operates. Many students are offered employment upon graduation or pursue higher education for a career in the HVAC industry.
Students will work on the House Building Project and gain experience working on an actual house in the community.
Students will have opportunities to visit construction and manufacturing sites.
Opportunities to participate in SkillsUSA competitions at the State Fair and other locations.
My name is Donald Whisenant and I have a Master's license in HVAC and over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial HVAC. My goal is to teach the next generation how to be successful in the workplace and become respected HVAC professionals. I believe that hands-on experience and a strong understanding of the fundamentals are key, preparing them for a successful career.
