Student have the opportunity to receive:

◾ Workplace Readiness Certification
◾National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Level 1 Electricity Certificate
◾ NCCER Core Certificate
First and second year students are exposed to the basics of electricity theory and have opportunities for hands on lab experiences. Students will gain an introduction to wiring things such as ceiling fans, outlets, and switches and will be able to hone their skills on real world applications, such as the House building project and various County commercial projects. Third year students will build on these basic skills and gain knowledge in areas such as commercial and industrial wiring methods. Third year students will also have the opportunity to work for an electrical contractor during school hours and get paid while improving their skills during their 2nd semester.
Students will work on the House Building Project and gain experience working on an actual house in the community.
Students will have opportunities to connect with businesses in the field of electricity.
My name is Jordan Baldwin and I'm a Master Electrician that has been in the electrical trade since 2014. I graduated from the electrical apprenticeship earning the Top Apprentice Award. I also am a teacher in the CVECA Apprenticeship and I enjoy exposing young minds to the science of electricity and the possibilities the electrical trade has to offer.

My name is Willie Cline and I'm a Master Electrician as well as a four-time teacher of the year for Henrico County. I have been doing Electrical work since 1996 and enjoy watching students achieve goals and obtain employment upon Graduation for our trade. I am also a Training Director for the CVECA Apprenticeship and can help students jump start their career into the Apprenticeship.
