The girls basketball teams proceed to prove their talent and skills as the season moves on.
The senior team won 3 games out of 7! The team has played exceptionally in their 2 tournaments, winning first in the tournament at Milton, and second in the tournament at Corpus Christi. They have worked hard, incorporating vigorous defense, friendly teamwork, and admirable sportsmanship.
Students were cheering loudly, encouraging the Tigers' defense during home games. Adding to the school spirit, the team cheered from the sidelines, having supported each other with hugs, handshakes, and clever chants.
The Tigers have been getting stronger, working better together, and continuing to win more games. During games, Blakelock cleverly intercepted passes and switched from defensive to offensive techniques between plays.
The positive energy during the games, on and off the court, is predominant throughout the season. Not only is the crowd a factor, but the moves on the court also keep the whole environment energized. Senior team captain, Sienna Caesar, always comes through. Adi Bianchin keeps the score up with impressive shots and three pointers.
“I think the basketball season is going pretty great so far. Our team chemistry is the best part of being on the team, everyone is so nice to each other so we play better because of that. We’ve played in two tournaments and got first and second in them, which I'm proud of my team for accomplishing. Excited for playoffs!!” - Sienna Caesar
The team works incredibly well as a whole and has the Blakelock student body cheering them on to victory.
