The Integrated Boarding Programme (IBP) is a 6-month long programme catered to Secondary 3 students with the aim of providing an opportunity for students to inculcate and develop resilience and independence through staying away from the comfort of home and living in a community. It is thus a testing bed for one's self leadership and discipline.Â
The programme can also be catered to suit students who prefer a 3-month or 6-month long programme. Additionally, past residents of the IBP can return in Secondary 4 to be student captains and mentors to the juniors.
Besides picking up life skills and social skills through living independently, and inter-dependently with others, there are in-house courses and activities which aim to promote entrepreneurial leadership. These include:
SCOOP Dinners with alumni who are leading practitioners in research, industry and government sectors
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Profiling Workshop
Emotional Agility Workshop
Dressing, Dining and Conversation Workshop
Entrepreneurial Leadership Programme
The staff in-charge of the Integrated Boarding Programme is:
