The Holy Cross of Davao College is an academic institution offering various courses related to education, business, engineering, maritime studies, and many more. One of the programs that the HCDC offered was the officers as they partake in the preparation of the Internship program. One of the program offerings of the school was the Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration, and the school also formulates competent customs graduates as they take pride in bringing identity and recognition to the field and profession of the customs industry. Knowingly, the HCDC BSCA Program passed enormous BSCA graduates, and one of the excellent schools in the Mindanao region formulating BS Customs Administration students were passers in every Customs Brokers Licensure Examinations (CBLEs).
Taking the BSCA course description wherein provides well-equipped, knowledgeable, and skilled customs brokers in the industry and the field of trade and commerce. The BSCA is a 4-year course that handles and equips a student to be skilled and knowledgeable in any customs-related practices. The Internship/Off-Campus Learning program is one of the mandatory subjects for BSCA students as they deal and engage with experiences of the things happening in the actual world in the customs industry. With this, each BSCA student was allotted a total of 500 hours and not less than 300 hours to undergo the internship. This will help each of them acquire desired knowledge and skills that will serve as a tool for facing challenges in the realities of life and preparing them for their future careers. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the health protocols were being considered, and one thing that affected was that off-campus learning was prohibited from taking place. That is why the webinar workshop learning virtual session series was formulated to respond to the Practicum activity or internships of the BSCA students that were supposed to be deployed the BSCA interns to their actual field.
