CB Roseller Layaoen started his studies in grade school in 1988 and then graduated from Biao Elementary School in 1993. He continued his secondary education at Biao National High School in 1994, being on top of the class with his academic credentials consistent being 1st honor from 1st year up to 3rd year high school, and graduated as Valedictorian, Batch 1997. In the year 1997, he proceeded to earn a degree in Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration at Holy Cross of Davao College and graduated Cum Laude in the year 2000.
After graduating, he immediately took the Customs Brokers Licensure Examination and passed the examination, considered an official Licensed Customs Broker in 2000. With that, he earned a master's degree in Business Administration, majoring in International Trade at International Academy in Management and Economics (IAME) in Makati City from 2006 until 2008.
He was appointed as a former Public Relations Officer in Chamber of Customs Brokers, Incorporated – Davao Chapter in 2014 up to 2015. In 2016 - 2017, he was elected as the Vice President for External Affairs in Chamber of Customs Brokers, Incorporated – Davao Chapter. He was appointed Vice President for Internal Affairs in Chamber of Customs Brokers, Incorporated – Davao Chapter from 2018 until 2019.
In 2001, he worked and had the position as Agility Principal Customs Broker Operations Assistant at Geologistics, Inc., and ended his contract in 2009. He worked in other customs industries as he was the Operations Manager at RBE Customs Brokerage covering 2010 up until 2014. In 2005, he decided to impart his knowledge as he entered the academe by working at Holy Cross of Davao College, teaching as a Part-time College Instructor for the Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration Program.
Aside from that, he entered the world of politics as he ran for the position as a Barangay Councilor in Barangay Biao Escuela in Tugbok District, Davao City, and luckily, gained the trust of the community as he was officially appointed as Barangay Official in the year 2013 and ended his term in 2018.
In his current employment, he was the owner and the General Manager of the Layaoen Customs Brokerage, which caters to import and export trade transactions and other customs-related services.
