• Wear when contact with blood or body fluids is possible.

• Use once then discard; never reuse.

• Change between tasks on the same client.

• Wash hands immediately after removal.

• Wear when splash or spray of fluids is anticipated.

• Tie securely and ensure full coverage of uniform.

• Remove and turn inward before leaving client’s room.

• Dispose or launder immediately after use.

Eye and Face Protection: 

• Wear goggles or face shields whenever there is a risk of splashes.

• Remove by handling the straps to avoid

Mask (Surgical)

• Surgical masks protect others from droplets; wear if you are ill.

• Place over nose and mouth; avoid touching the front.

• Discard after single use or when moist.

Respirator N95

• For airborne diseases

• Requires fit testing
