8P3-Trombone Mouthpiece

For this project, I used tinkercad and a 3D Printer. I created a mouthpiece for my trombone. I did this because I want another mouthpiece for it, but didn't want to buy one.

During this process, I learned how to use new measuring tools. I also learned how to scale things. In addition to that, I learned how to make more realistic objects on tinkercad.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. This is because I came up with the simple design for my mouthpiece and made it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to scale tinkercad to real life. I was able to do it by using
Mr. Renner's measuring tools. I also took a look at the mouthpiece I have and based it off that.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the depth of the mouthpiece, the shaft size and length. The reason why I would change it is because the mouthpiece I made didn't work. If I changed these things, I might be able to fit it in my trombone and get a good sound.
