End Project
For my project, I used cardboard, duct tape, hot glue, and snack cookies. I created a super-cool vending machine that actually works. I did this because when I did my first cardboard project (candy machine), I wanted to also include a Vending Machine, but I didn't have time.
During this process, I learned that plans don't always work out how you thought they would. Also, keep your cookies away from you classmates. They will be eaten verrrrry quickly.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. This is because I had to design and build my project on my own. (Hannah helped some).
A challenge I overcame on this project was the cookies falling over inside the machine. I was able to do it by adding popsicle sticks to make them stay better. I also made the board they were on more flat.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the execution. The reason why I would change it is because it looked super sloppy and not very neat. I would probably make it look nicer and cut cleaner edges.
