Day 5 "Boom" Video
I am working by myself. I will need a micro bit, batteries, a USB cord, and a computer. I am not completely sure what I will be making, but I will probably attempt to make most of the things on my 10 good ideas. My projects will (hopefully) have modifications that make it different from the video.
Daily Log:
Day 1: I made my name on the micro bit and I posted and made the video for my google site.
Day 2: I made a few more projects with my Microbit (Hello, and Moving Function/Tilty Thingy)
Day 3: I worked on flappy bird but it didn't end up working how I wanted it to so I might change it tomorrow.
Day 4: I made a calculator.
Day 5: I made "Boom" and I edited my calculator video.
Day 6: I started making my clock.
Day 7: I worked on my clock, figuring out the things I got wrong.
Day 2 Code
Day 4 & 5 Calculator Video
Code for Day 7
Using a micro-bit, I created a name thing, tilty-thingy, a happy smiley-face, a calculator, a clock (almost), and boom because I thought it would be cool and I like a challenge. For the calculator one, I just wanted to create something that would help me with my homework. The tilty thingy was also something I had wanted to create since the beginning.
During this process, I learned how to use a Micro-bit and solve problems. While making my projects, I honestly messed up a lot. (Especially during making Flappy Bird.) I think this project has helped me get better at problem-solving and coding.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer, and Global Collaborator. This is because I designed the games I built (most of them) and I shared them on my website which is shared with the world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the clock on my own.. I was able to do it by a lot of trial and error. I had a hard time getting the hours to change on it every hour because I didn't have an easy way to test it in the time allotted.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the projects I did. The reason why I would change it is because some of them were kind of boring and simple. I wasn't as ambitious while working on this project which is something I don't usually do. Next time I'll try to create a more difficult project.
