8P-5 Laser Cutter

For this project, I used a board, tinkercad, and a lasercutter. I created a quote board. I did this because I thought it would be funny and a few classmates wanted me to do it.

During this process, I learned how to use a lasercutter. I previously didn't know anything about lasercutters. Now, I know how to use it and can teach classmates how to use it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. This is because I created my (simple) design and made it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was turning in the right project. I was able to do it by using a different form of sharing it. Later, I had to change my design and turn that in.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design. The reason why I would change it is because it's very basic. I would also maybe change the font and what it says.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Home Decor.
