8P5- 3D Printing

Using the 3D printer and simplify 3D , I created a pencil holder because I need one to put in my room to hole my stuff. I like the pencil holder because I like the color. The color is red.

During this process, I learned how to put holes in a 3D print. Another thing I learned is its hard to make up a design. I also learned there is a lot of steps to 3D printing.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I decided what I wanted to make. Another standard my project ties to is Innovative designer because I used the design process to make it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was putting different designs on it. I was able to do it by trying different designs and figuring out which one was my favorite. Another challenge I overcame is designing my print so it printed correctly.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design I put on it. The reason why I would change it is because I could make something different then the first time. Another thing that I could've changed is the shape of my project.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in deciding what I want to make and making it. Another career my project connects to is Technical Education because I learned how to make something with technology.
