8P2-8P3-Sewing

Using the sewing machine, fabric and thread, I created a bag because I figured it would be a fun thing to make. I also made it because I knew it could be useful.

During this process, I learned there is a lot of steps to making a bag on the sewing machine. I also learned that even though it was a long process it was fun to make.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I decided what I wanted to make.

A challenge I overcame on this project was I kept forgetting to make the handles and I almost didn't put handles on because I kept forgetting. I was able to do it by making a note to remind me to make the handles

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of my bag. The reason why I would change it is because its big.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in deciding what I want to make and making it.
