8P5-Bloxels

Using the ipad and bloxels, I created a hard bloxel course because I havn't built anything in the class yet and I felt like doing something with the ipad so I thought that bloxels would be a good choice. The bloxels course was pretty easy to make just hard to complete the course that I made.

During this process, I learned how to build and play with the bloxels as well as adding videos to drive on the ipad. To build the bloxels you just place the corresponding blocks on the board and then take a picture of the board on the bloxels app and then it will load your course into the game.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because me and Memphis built our courses with eachother and gaver eachother ideas of where to put the blocks on the course. It also ties with inovative designer because we programmed a video game course on the Ipad and had to change our courses so they were just hard enough to complete.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the video of me playing the course to the computer. I was able to do it by adding the video to drive and uploading it on my computer from there. You can't upload things to drive on the Ipods.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change is adding more enemies to my course. The reason why I would change it is because I don't have to get past a lot of enemies because they run off the course. Or just make walls for the enemies so they won't fall off my structures and I would have to get trhough them.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School because we disigned a course and rogrammed it on the Ipad. My project connects to careers in building videogames that involve courses and runs and also programming or coding characters in games.
