Planning Questions

Are you working by yourself on this project ? Yes because its just better to do by yourself on this one .

What materials do you need? Fabrics, sowing needle, sowing machine, Thread, Clay, Buttons, Paints, Hot glue, Yarn, Stuffing, and a base reference

a What is your plan to create for this project? I want to make it look like me and like the coralline doll style with my clothing and such.

What unique qualities will your project have ? It will have good quality and some sort of design/pattern to show my style.

Day 1:

Planning questions, list of 10 and prepping the project

Day 2:

I sowed a tiny bag and and made the head at home.

Day 3:

I could not do anything until my clay has dried completely.

Day 4:

I had to restart the clay was cracking and I cut of a old dolls hair and I'm going to use this as a base for the doll

Refection's:

Using a old doll, scissors, yarn, buttons, old doll clothing, fabrics, and clay I created a mini me Coraline doll. During this project I had to constancy fix things to get the result I wanted even having to restart at one point. In this project I decided to base it off Coraline because its a comfort movie of mine. During this project I also based of a design I made in Ibis paint.
During this process, I learned that you should try more than one way to do things and sometimes the simple way is the way you go. Also that I can take more time. In this case it was me having to restart the doll I ways making by hand and just use a old doll as a base.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I shared this with the world. I also am showing it to friends. As well as family.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the base of the doll. I messed up by making it with clay because it was cracking and I wasn't going to be able to move the limbs. I was able to fix it by restarting using a old doll of mine as the base after cutting off all its hair.
Given a chance to do this again, I would try to make shoes and hand made clothes for it . The reason why I would do it is because it could be exactly how I want it . I would make it by sowing and getting all the fabrics I need.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to Engineering Design the CTE program at Hastings High School, because I created a doll requires human work and designing. The reason why It require so much human work is because I am adding details and such by hand.
My project connects to careers Engineering Design with things like construction worker. With that job I could make things like building and sculptures or maybe working a a factory. The job will involve a lots of work with your hands but would be worth it to make cool products like a whole building for example.
