Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
Working in a team with Carter Bell.
What materials will you need for your project?
Cospaces and an iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
A 3D Aim trainer that anybody can use in a browser with Cospaces.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will show all details of how you play including score and time, also has multiple scene changes.
Daily Log:
Day 1: We started in Cospaces just messing around coming up with random ideas, we realized how possible it is to do an aim trainer super well in Cospaces.
Day 2: We began laying out the amount of needed scenes and camera movements.
Day 3: I set up a scoreboard that read of your current score and carter set the score values hit = + 1 // miss = -2
Day 4: We created the size of spheres we desired and added all the the values and reactions to the spheres.
Day 5: We finished and had some people play test, we had good reviews so we locked in everything and submitted this as our project of passion.
Using Cospaces, I created a 3D aim trainer because carter has a passion for making games and I have a passion for aim reliant FPS video games.
During this process, I learned how to use the camera movements to transition into scene changes well.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational thinker because we had to compromise on things and think of ways to make it work without interrupting the rest of the code.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the game to tell what scene change to go to upon death and winning. I was able to do it by using camera movements to set what is behind as a "technically" new scene.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the modes of the aim trainer. The reason why I would change it is because there is only 1 mode and it can get boring fast.
