Will you be working alone or in a team.
I will be working in a team of three people including myself.
What materials will you need.
We will need cardboard, a way to cut it and some sort of adhesive to hold it together.
We want to make a model of a cozy little cottage and an interior.
We have a sort of lift-able cottage that you can lift up to see the interior to make it different.
step 1
We started by putting together cardboard into a cube and formatting our cabin/bunker.
step 2
We lined it with popsicle sticks to add a more wooden log looking attribute.
final product
We finished lining all the sides and added tipped it over so you can see the interior, it has a roof on the bottom end too keep the stayers warm and cozy.
Using Cardboard and Popsicle sticks, I created A mini cabin because we wanted to create a scene we wished we were in, so we made a log cabin that we wish we were staying in.
During this process, I learned how to warp cardboard into shapes I didn't know were possible.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because because we went through steps to make our project a realistic shelter that if it were full sized, would work, we went through steps of innovation like, reinforcing the structure and insolating it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the parts and pieces falling off. I was able to do it by figuring out why they were falling off and using a stronger adhesive to stick it together.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the roof and or interior. The reason why I would change it is because its pretty boring and has nothing special to it, its just a box with insulation and a flat roof.
