What materials will you need for your project?
I will need a micro bit and the website.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I want to make the entire solar system starting from the smallest rocks/planets to the biggest giants/stars.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will be completely different from other projects and I made sure, by doing this trick with all of the planets to make the solar system ranking in size.
Step 1
I started by looking at all the options to everything that you can do with the micro bit to see what I can do to complete my goal.
Step 2
I started laying out all the planets and there names.
Step 3
I continued laying out the planets and added a little icon to end it off.
Final product
I created a moving replication of the solar system and all the planets/giants ranking in size, it includes every planet and giant in our system and there names.

Using Micro Bit, I created the entire solar system ranking in sized because I've been super interested in the size of stuff in the galaxy so I thought it would fit.
WHAT I LEARNED
During this process, I learned a lot about the size of Jupiter.... I learned how to use micro bits and connect them to my pc and portray the code i planned out.
Class standards to my project
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I had to use the tutorials and help from others to construct my own knowledge and construct code.
A challenge i overcame
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing what to do with my project and then picking one out and finding out its impossible to do with micro bits. I was able to do it by coming up with ideas while looking at the possibilities so nothing would end up being outlandish.
What I would change
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the details of the planets and how they move. The reason why I would change it is because it's a bit boring the way it is.
CTE connection
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in LED designing like for light shows (its a thing) and designing panels for video games so video game designer/developer.
