Did you work alone or in a team?
I worked alone with cospaces tutorials and myself as my allies.
Step 1.1
I first got into cospaces and looked around to see what everything was about and how stuff worked and how the grid pattern with placing worked.
Step 1.2
I began learning how to use the CoBlocks on things like people and animals to see what kind of actions I could make them do, i also started setting Animations.
step 1.3
I looked through the Environment presets and found some cool themes to help me begin my project, the water theme stood out to me so that set a them for ocean and that gave me my first idea, pirates.
step 2
I started putting a theme together using the ocean environment template and this ship, using these things gave me further inspiration to make a pirate themed short.
Step 3
I started adding little ambiance and details to make it look more like a ocean scene and be more interesting I combined some flags and other stuff to a little boat in a grouping method so that it would stay together when I programmed.
step 4
I started coding everything and making movements to put my plan into action, I made parrots fly, boats move and pirates fight it was decently easy considering the tutorials were well explained.
final product
The Turnout of my VR Animation
I made an animation of pirates fighting but 1 pirate has a secret magical wand that can cast thermonuclear bombs. He sneaks behind the ship using a parrot as a distraction and blows up the ship for its ammo. The pirate on the small boat has discovered that there's a ship transporting 2000 pounds of ammunition to the enemy of war, so he is sent to blow it up.
Using cospaces I created a V.R world that has different styles and genres of content than others V.R worlds.
project standards
The standards for this project are.
Your world has to have moving objects in it.
I must attach everything I create to my webpage.
I will need to make a video of my project and attach it to the website.
What was a challenge i overcame?
A challenge I overcame on this project was taking time to come up with ideas and then executing them then deleting them before they get fully created. I was able to do it by having the mindset to keep going once i had gotten something wrong.
What would i change?
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the characteristics and dialogue that the characters I created give out. The reason why I would change it is because its a bit underwhelming and boring I think I can do much better.
Cte connection
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming attribute that goes with programming video games and designing graphics. CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Game designing and programming.
class standards
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project goes with Knowledge Constructor because I played around with the website which helped me learn where things were and how to use them and then I made my project.
what i have learned because of this
During this process, I learned that I can create whatever comes to my mind as long as I put forth hard work and lots of effort, and i genuinely try.
