I brought a little digital creativity to life by 3D modeling a personalized keychain in Tinkercad just for my dad.
Our class is guided by seven core standards, including Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My keychain project directly aligns with the Empowered Learner standard because I took ownership of my learning, using trial and error to actively improve my 3D design skills in Tinkercad.
Given the opportunity to revisit this project, I would choose a different direction. My goal was to design a fidget, which is why I would make that change.
Hastings High School's Career and Technical Education Program offers diverse fields such as Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program, specifically because I want to use code to design and prototype a digital fidget tool.
My project connects to careers in game design because the skills required for 3D modeling are fundamental to creating modern video games.
