handmade basketball and basketball hoop with only cardboard and duct tape
Brainstorming by myself on how I'm gonna make the ball and the basketball hoop
started to work out the design of the hoop and ball
Shortened class day due to the high school trip but made the rim and back board a lot thicker
made the pole to keep the whole thing upright and connected
Connected all of it together
Using cardboard, hot glue and duct tape, I created a functioning basketball mini hoop that stands up on its own because i really like basketball even if I don't play it.
During this process, I learned how to piece together cardboard scraps with duct tape and hot glue to make a mini hoop.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I used my brain and knowledge to by myself, make a mini hoop out of card board.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having to piece together the card board and brain storm about how I was gonna make the whole thing in the first place I was able to do it by.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the height of it so I don't have to look down when shooting. The reason why I would change it is because it kinda starts to hurt your neck after a while.
