Digital Citizen: You can use the internet responsibly to choose what to share on social networks to create my digital reputation, and explain how you know that digital content is permanent and cannot be deleted. You can follow the laws of social networks, and articulate how treating others with respect in person or online is your responsibility or describe the difference between personal and private information. You can explain why a computer needs antivirus and security software, and understand the limitations of data management or how data collection technologies work. You can give credit to the author of published digital content and understand how to share your opinions and demonstrate an awareness of differing opinions respectfully.
Knowledge Constructor: You can use a search engine to find information and access online catalogs and databases for research. You can use a browser’s history feature to locate previously visited sites and search for tools and advanced search features to find information. You can identify and use hyperlinks within web pages or documents and find a variety of sources when doing research. You can explore real-world issues and understand them. You can evaluate whether or not you want to trust the information you find on a website when doing research and find the author of an article on a webpage. You can explain why you think a website is or is not reliable, and use more than one source when you research a topic, and you can tell when an article is biased and choose whether or not to use the information and organize your notes using a digital tool.
You can ask or search questions on the internet to find answers to your question, and then you can learn about a topic you are interested about, and to demonstrate your understanding of a topic you can create a project something to show your learning.
Innovative Design: You can use technology to communicate with others outside of your school to help you to identify a global topic and find answers about your questions of an authentic topic. You can use digital tools to work through the design process and solve authentic problems and make a plan to answer a question you have. You can use a digital planning tool to lay out the steps of a project and use a digital brainstorming tool to make a visual representation of your ideas, and then you can approve or disapprove a hypothesis and maybe you can find the right answer.
Computational Thinker: You can use technology tools to present the solutions to a problem or to create models, and identify the most important information in a problem. With the tools you can build a game or tell a story using a simple visual programming interface. You can explain how computers use patterns to process and sort information, and understand the automation process, and if you are wrong you can learn from your mistakes, and find multiple solutions to open ended problems.
Creative Communicator: You can identify and choose the best digital tool to create an original work, and then you can give credit to the component authors in a collaborative creation, and explain how to use other works in a way that does not infringe on copyright and intellectual property rules. With the rules and tools you can make adjustments to a presentation to make it appropriate for multiple audiences.
Global Collaborator: You can use digital tools to interact with others or develop an understanding of different perspectives, and learn about issues and problems through digital tools.
