Using Keva Planks, I created a construction for a marble race because I wanted to make a project with the Keva Planks and I remembered about the videos I used to watch with my brother which were the marble races. I made this because I think it would be a really good game for the kids to entertain themselves. Also I made this because I used to watch the marble race videos and I always wanted to make it by myself.

During this process, I learned that making something with the Kava Planks is really hard. Also making a construction can be really hard if you don't have a place where you know that nothing will make it fall. Also I learned that to make something with Keva Planks you need to have patience because sometimes the construction will fall and you will have to make it again.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I'm sharing my project with the world. Everyone can see the project I made and how I made it step by step(in this case I just showed the final project and I didn't show what was different from the start to the end).

A challenge I overcame on this project was to make the project over and over again because sometimes the construction was falling. I was able to do it by having patience and trying to find a way to make the construction stable. Sometimes I had to do the construction all over again because it was falling or sometimes I didn't like how it looked. 

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the construction looks like or maybe make the construction bigger. The reason why I would change it is because if I had more time for the project and had a place where I'm pretty sure nothing will make the construction fall I think I would have made a better construction. Also if I had the chance to do this project again I would make the construction bigger and with an actual race with more than 1 ball.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to Construction Trades because I made a construction/game for a marble race by using the Keva Planks. 

My project connects to careers in Product Engineering because I was engineering a product that would be entertaining to people. The product was a construction for a marble race. The product is a construction for a marble race with a ball rolling down it, some people could use it to make challenges with their friends. Also this construction could be use to play with different toys as a car or something that can roll down from the top to the bottom of the construction.
